Network Design and Implementation
Whether you are planning a Network for 5 users or 200 users, Axis IT’s installation team have the expertise to do it right the first time.
Each time we install a new network we follow a tried and trusted path which includes the following steps;
Network Assessment
A meeting will be arranged at your convenience and all requirements for your network will be documented. With the information gathered from the initial meeting, we will design a preliminary network, and if required, design multiple network scenarios for your perusal.
Build Step - Network installation
All server machines and client machines will be configured and prepared off site before they are brought into your premises. We try to follow a zero downtime policy resulting in the minimum of disturbance to your staff and clients, during some network installations/migrations; a period of downtime is unavoidable. If this is the case, we can perform vital tasks outside of business hours if required.
Network testing
Your network will be extensively tested to assure that all equipment and configurations function according to the Network Specification. Usernames and logon capability, shared resources, privacy policies and access to network hardware will be thoroughly tested.
Live network
We will do a walk-through with your technical contact to make sure everything is in working order, and to explain where each of the equipment is located. On completion, A network summary is provided which will detail all aspects of your network. This document remains live and is constantly updated by our staff whenever there is a change or addition to your network. We have found in the past that keeping this document up to date and accurate saves a considerable amount of time when dealing with an issue on your network.
Network Management Training
If required, training for User Management, Sharing, and Security will be provided, along with a tutorial on using the Axis IT helpdesk
